Windows 7 is, finally, a great operating system.
Every version of Windows, has many services enabled, while many optimizing
tweaks are not enabled by default. The reason this is so is because the
installation is designed to support a very generic set of devices and hardware.
The cool part of using Windows is the ability to fine tune it to your needs.
Some call this tuning process "Hacking”, others called it "Tweaking”. I’m not
really that worried about the name, instead I prefer focusing on the
content…
Before I get all technical, it’s important that you check your hardware and
choose the edition of Windows 7 that best suits your system:

After doing lots of R & D on Windows Vista, I have found a registry hack
that enables all tasks control panel and system settings at one place…!
It’s much similar to Windows 7’s Control Panel (Classic View) or you can say,
it’ll explorer more controls and tasks than Windows 7 Control Panel.
How To:
Method 1:
1. Create a new folder and name it Master
Control.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
2. The icon will be changed automatically to Control Panel’s
icon. Now open the folder and see the magic of Windows Registry!

If you are an artist or you work with colors, use the Calibrate
Color option in the Control Panel Display applet or run
dccw.exe from the Start Menu search box. You
can adjust gamma, brightness, contrast, and color balance, ensuring that colors
are displayed correctly on your screen.

If you restart your computer more often than you shut it down, change the
default Shutdown power button to Restart.
Right-click on Start, select Properties, and
choose the Power button action that you use the most.

Windows 7 does not place a link to your videos on the Start Menu by default.
To add a link to your videos on the Start Menu, right-click
Start, select Properties, click on
Customize. In the Videos section at the
bottom, choose Display as a link.
